After taking a shower at 10 pm the night, I was all ready to get on with my to-do list, with a total of 6 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours ( you might call me an insomniac).

I was making myself ready to go for another to-do list, thinking would sleep on the weekend ( who does that). I came out of the shower and picked my things up to settle the set-up in the bedroom, as the living room wasn’t giving the vibe today.

As I moved ahead in the room with all the stuff in my head, a notepad, charger, laptop, my phone and a diary. Something in me flipped. Getting inside, keeping all the things on the chair, I picked up a book instead with years of sleep in my eyes.

Though I wouldn’t blame Virginia Woolf for the sleep, she was an amusing read. But I fell asleep within 5 minutes of reading, and this time i didn’t get up to the kitchen to prepare an extra strong cup of black coffee. Instead, I just gave in.

That to-do list can wait, I said and closed my eyes.

PS: Got up at 5 today, and I want to say Mumma was right all along; there is a huge difference in how the morning feels between getting up at 5 am and staying up by 5 am.
